I have always been terrible at drinking water. I used to be the type of person that would look at the clock and realize that it was 1 pm and I still hadn't drank a single drop. My skin was terrible, I used to get water infections pretty often and I was struggling to lose weight. I had tried so many times to drink more but I could never remember and had nothing in place to hold myself accountable. So here is how to finally start drinking more water.
I haven't always had a good credit score, I used to be terrible with money. But for the past 6 months, it has consistently stayed at 999 following a slow increase over the last couple of years. At first I thought it was a mistake because I do have a couple of late payments on my record from 2014 so I updated my details on there, made sure everything was correct and up to date and still it came back with this perfect score. So how did I increase my credit score?
My attention span is shorter than I am (5'3'' FYI) and it is a struggle when trying to get things done that need my undivided attention. I have improved over time and tried different ways to stop procrastinating and start getting the work done in front of me. Here are some things that help me focus when writing a blog post (or focus on anything for that matter).
The best way to save money is to simply not spend it. Now that is a whole lot easier said than done I know. Especially if you're not really motivated to make the change in the first place. It took me quite a long time to finally not feel the need to mindlessly spend my money on things that didn't really bring me anything but guilt. So I am going to share with you how I have stopped overspending and started being a lot more sensible with my money.
On the 1st of January I decided to give up sugar. I wasn't sure how long I was going to stick to it but after feeling super motivated, I have managed to give it up for six weeks so far. If you are thinking about giving up sugar then here are some things that I have discovered along the way.
If you don't know what the "When..Then Mindset" is, it's what a lot of us do. Mostly people that are struggling to achieve their dreams because they are waiting for the 'right time'. We tell ourselves "When this happens, then I will be able to do this". I have been victim to this mindset myself and I know a lot of other people have. We need to start understanding that this is the wrong mentality to have if you want to start moving forward and achieving your dreams
Setting yourself goals is so important. If you don't have a vision of what you are working towards how do you know what route you need to go down? You wouldn't start driving somewhere without knowing the destination. If you are a bit stuck with what to set yourself that isn't too cliche or too difficult to attain then here are some Goals you need to set yourself to have the best year yet.
We have all been through times in our lives where we have made bad decisions. Or sometimes things have happened out of our control but we still blame ourselves. I have carried these mistakes with me for so long over the years. But you know what? I am done with it. I am going to share with you ways to stop blaming yourself and finally be free to start truly working on your future and building a life with no regret.
I used to be so messy. I would have clothes all over my floor, I would never make my bed and I certainly wouldn't regularly clean or vacuum. But in the last two years, I have significantly improved how I look after my space. I always make sure to keep my room nice and tidy now and for the most part, it is always presentable. Find out how to keep your house or room clean and tidy at all times.
I have been obsessed with meal planning for about 18 months now. Every single Saturday without fail I get all of my recipe books out in front of me, get Pinterest open and start recording what I want for that coming week. I love planning my meals, it helps with my weekly grocery bill, helps me eat healthily and just generally keeps my productivity at a high. If you are considering Meal Planning too then here are some ways I think it is great.
I think we can all go through bouts of loneliness in our lives, some will last for a few moments in a particularly isolating situation and others can last years when you feel you have no one to turn to. I think more people than we realise are dealing with loneliness and it is something that needs to be spoken about. It isn't a nice feeling at all and could possibly lead to depression, which is not a good mix when you feel so alone.
As I mentioned in my previous post here, I am trying to make this year super productive. I also want to continue working on myself and just being happy. I decided to invest in The Happiness Planner to be able to track my year and how I feel every day. I want to work on being more mindful of each day but also have a record to be able to look back on and The Happiness Planner definitely delivers.
Although I am saving as much money as possible for 2018 I believe in investing in myself either just to make me happy, or to increase my productivity and organization. My words of the year are Brave and Hustle so I want to work as hard as I can but also as smart as I can. By enriching my life outside of my work it means I will be in the better mind frame to get stuck in my work and keep creating. Here are some of the things I am recently loving and think will make a huge difference to my productivity this new year.
Like for many other people, 2017 was a tough one. There were many ups and downs but I still got a lot of value out of the year because I learned so much about myself. The most I have ever learned in a year about my habits and mental health.
If you are not aware, I have struggled with depression since being a teenager, hitting my lowest point in 2014/15. Also in the last few years I have developed anxiety. Now lately I have been getting a lot better, I believe I no longer suffer with depression but my anxiety can flair up at any time without warning. I get anxious about my past, about what other people think of me, about talking to people and how I am perceived. I also get anxiety watching other people's dreams come true when I am struggling to place myself within this world.
